Shuttering plywood

Shuttering plywood is a specially designed type of plywood used primarily in the construction industry for creating formwork or moulds into which concrete is poured. It is engineered to withstand heavy loads, moisture, and pressure during the concrete setting process.

This plywood comes in different weight categories, the most common being 26 kg and 30 kg per sheet (usually 8x4 feet). The weight indicates its density and strength, which directly affects its reusability and performance. 30 kg sheets are preferred for their durability and ability to withstand more repetitions.

However, unethical practices are common in the market, where plywood sheets are falsely stamped as 30 kg, while the actual weight may be only 27–29 kg, leading to reduced strength and lower reuse cycles.

Shuttering ply is generally available in two main bonding types:

  • PF (Phenol Formaldehyde): Water-resistant, more durable, and ideal for multiple uses in construction.

  • MR (Moisture Resistant): Suitable for less demanding applications and fewer repetitions.

Always insist on genuine weight and PF bonded shuttering for the best performance on-site.

Motion Black shuttering

Motion Black Shuttering is a ISI marked premium shuttering plywood, known not just for its striking black color but for its superior performance and durability. What sets it apart is its 120 GSM thick film face, which offers enhanced protection against moisture, surface abrasion, and wear.

This high-performance ply is specially engineered for heavy-duty applications, making it ideal for infrastructure and large-scale construction projects. Its robust construction and PF bonding ensure it can easily withstand 10–12 repetitions (and more with proper handling), offering excellent value over time.

More than just a color difference, Motion Black Shuttering represents a higher standard in strength, finish, and reusability—making it a preferred choice for professionals who don’t want to compromise on quality.

Laksh PF shuttering

For anyone in the field of construction or dealing in shuttering materials, the name Laksh Shuttering is well-known and respected. Over time, it has carved a special place in the market due to its consistent performance and reliability.

Laksh Shuttering offers all the key features that Motion Shuttering provides—strong core, PF bonding, ISI Mark excellent moisture resistance, and durability for multiple uses. The main difference lies in the film face, where Laksh comes with a different color and slightly lower GSM thickness compared to Motion.

Still, it remains a solid and trusted choice for contractors and traders looking for a cost-effective yet dependable shuttering ply, capable of delivering 8–10 repetitions with proper care.
